Are you caring for a loved one with a mental health issue?

Anxiety, depression and autism are just a few of the conditions which can be challenging, both personally and within the family.
To provide the best possible care, it is essential that you look after yourself both physically and emotionally.

Nourish, is your chance to take a day out and care for yourself! Located in a stunning coastal location, the workshop will be held in May.

Stretching and movement

The first session of the day addresses the importance of cardio, strength and flexibility.

Mindfulness and relaxation

We will share mindfulness and relaxation techniques that will allow you to stay ‘ahead of the game’ and calm in stressful and challenging situations.

Peer support and friendship

Being a carer can sometimes be lonely and isolating, Nourish provides the opportunity to meet and share with other carers in a similar circumstances.

Artistic expression

Visual arts, movement and music are all tools for managing challenging emotions and feelings – together we will explore these.

Tips for managing tricky situations

Caring for a loved one with a mental illness can mean managing -difficult situations and behaviors. We will work through tips for effectively responding to and dealing with such moments.  

Nutrition, healthy meals and snacks

Fueling your body with the right food is essential to feeling your strongest. We will talk about the importance of nutrition as well as share some delicious and super healthy meals and snacks, which are all included on the day.

Gift bag and take-home notes

Who doesn’t love a gift bag? Resources from the workshop for you to revisit at home at your own pace, as well as vouchers and treats from local businesses are included. You won’t leave empty handed or disappointed!

The day is FREE for eligible carers 18+, living in western and northern suburbs of Perth, caring for someone with a mental health condition.
